The chronic lower back pain and hip tightness has subsided tremendously. The inner peace, gentle energy and all over well being is what drive sme to continue.

The flexibility in my spine, lower back and hips has gone to a place that I never thought was possible with my body.

Half tortoise and rabbit. Half tortoise - the spine stretch and rabbit - the lower back stretch.

Keeping my ego out of the room.   To allow myself and my body to be wherever it is in my practice.

To be patient with yourself, and don't worry about what others are doing in class, how they are in the postures, just relax and go with the flow.

It took me a long time to come to a Bikram Yoga class. The heat intimidated me in a very big way, ithought I would pass out or would feel claustrophobic. Well, I did experience alittle ofthat, but I think it was more that I had convinced myself I would experience those sensations.   Now 8 months later I love the heat. I can remember when I first began practicing thinking to myself, why does the instructor have to talk so much, now their voices are soothing sentinels keeping my mind/thoughts from having a negative control over my practice.

It amazes me how constantly your body and mind evolve in this practice. Postures you first hated and couldn't do, you begin loving and can do. And those you first loved, well that changes as well.   And those things I learn about myself in class transfer into my life outside of class.

Bikram Yoga has done a tremendous amount of healing not only to my body but to my spirit as well. namaste
