Hey, that was not half bad. I can't do everything, so there's lots of room for improvement. But I can do enough that it's not outlandish for me to try to do it again. Three things drive me to continue: immediate physical benefit; sense that, the practice of Bikram provides long-term corporeal and spiritual benefit, and the flashes of spiritual/emotional 'a-ha's' that have accompanied the practice.

My posture is better. I tend to want to eat better food and take care of myself more. I am calmer emotionally. I breathe better.

I love camel pose. I feel as though when I do it, I'm completely open and fully exerting myself. It's an exclamation point of a posture for me.

Greatest challenge about yoga (and me)? With regard to yoga, anything 'bopulling' is hard. I think my knees bend funny. Also, I had the realization the other day, that, now that I've discovered yoga, I'll have to keep doing it - FOREVER. It's not like I can stop and still keep the benefits.

In terms of the greatest challenge about me I believe there are three things I am constantly addressing: a) challenging myself to do each posture to the maximum, b) returning to a centered place and trying again when I am not getting it or falling over or whatever, and c) keeping my mind with the dialogue and out of other thoughts.

It's as good as you want it to be. Sweating is a fabulous way to cleanse your system and touch your toes.

I started practicing yoga because I wanted more balance and thought that balancing my body could be a good way to true up all of me. When I started out, I really did not know what yoga was. I've come to understand that yoga can be an integrated endeavor that involves my body, my mind and, when I'm fully present, my spirituality. As a result, yoga has made me hungry for that type of integration in my other endeavors.
Although I've never tried doing other forms of yoga, I really like Bikram because I really like to sweat.
About two weeks ago, I was at a party with old friends I had not seen in a few years. They all remarked that something about me had changed. My glib response was, "I started doing yoga."

Since I've started doing yoga, I really am a somewhat different person. Though not transformed, I am more sensible about where my stuff is and what stuff is not mine. I am not sure whether all of this is causally linked to yoga, or whether yoga came into my life at the time I was reaching greater understandings of how things are for me.
