Classes are 60-75 minutes. All classes are tailored to a mixed-level group. Don't be afraid to join us if you're new to yoga. All are welcome!
Bring a yoga mat or beach towel to practice on and wear comfortable clothing. Sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended, too!

Bikram Yoga Portsmouth: Bikram Yoga is a therapeutic series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, designed to work every system in the body bringing the practitioner strength, flexibility and maximum health benefits. ChildLight Yoga: Family Yoga with ChildLight Yoga offers numerous programs for babies, toddlers and kids. Yoga postures, partner work, games and giggles describe this positive energy class designed to bring busy families together. Dover Yoga: Since it's inception in 2001, Dover Yoga has been committed to providing the best in yoga and wellness in an affordable manner to all ages. We are characterized well by our motto, "Live well. Laugh often. Love much." Jen teaches Gentle Hatha and Hatha Flow. Empower Yoga: Overlooking historic downtown Portsmouth, Empower Yoga offers daily classes of a unique style of athletic yoga! Practice in a safe, comfortable environment with teachers experienced in "power" yoga (based on many astanga yoga principles). Our classes offer a varied sequence of postures with a creative flow, designed to meet the experience, abilities, and needs of the students. Express Yourself: A former professional dancer, Valerie Fagin is also a certified restorative yoga teacher. She has been a practitioner of yoga for over 20 years and an original member of Ballet Hispanico of New York. Join Valerie in a supportive, fun environment where you will be guided to awaken the inner dancer in you! Portsmouth Center for Yoga and the Arts: Kripalu Yoga is an approach to "Hatha" yoga designed to bring you, the practitioner, to an integrated experience of body, mind and spirit. The Prana Studio: Hannelore's unique Yoga style integrates body, mind, and spirit. Students learn to move through vinyasas, holding yoga postures with reflections, affirmations, and deep breaths with heightened awareness, relax deeply into Yoga-Nidra, and sit still and focused in meditation. Hannelore Moebius is from Germany and holds teaching certificates from Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S. Her compassionate and meditative approach was influenced by Selvarajan Yesudian, Kripalu, Integrative Yoga Therapy, International Yoga College, and the Ayurvedic Institute, NM. Yoga by Donation: Located above Portsmouth Health Food in downtown Portsmouth, Yoga by Donation offers some 35 classes per week taught by 18 instructors from almost as many yoga traditions. Yoga East: Yoga East offers Ashtanga Yoga classes, taught as a sequence of classical yoga postures linked together by synchronized breath movement (vinyasa). The method utilizes deep breathing (Ujjayi), concentrated eye gazing (Drishti), and energetic seals (bandha) to increase inner heat for purification, circulation and elimination of toxins. Yoga on the Hill: Yoga on the Hill is the new home to Seacoast area teachers Erin Ehlers and Julia Tirabassi. Erin is trained in an Iyengar background with exposure to many styles of yoga. In addition to her formal training, Erin has lived at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Yoga on York: YOY teaches a traditional fitness style of yoga hailing from Calcutta, India (in the Bishnu Gosh/Bikram lineage). Yogarising: Deborah of YogaRising does staff wellness programs and private sessions. Deborah has over 15 years of experience offering classes and specialized workshops in NH and Southern ME. She enjoys working with students at all levels of experience, including those with medical conditions/limitations. Emphasis is on core strengthening from Pilates with the grace and flow of Kripalu yoga. This combination allows for a total mind-body workout infused with challenge, safety and compassion to self.
