After your first Bikram class, what was your impression? |
What drives you to continue to practice? What keeps bringing you back? |
| My god what an old flabby, stiff, inflexible middle age loser I am then. At the same time I felt totally wiped out physically, however there was a good feeling that this was the means to an end and that I was ready to make some changes. I proceeded to lie down in the middle of the morning and didn't wake up for four hours. There was no way i was keeping my eyes open. |
Knowing I will get my energy levels topped up. Also I love the yoga class community. It is a great feeling to struggle to get to a 6 AM class and find there are other wackos who did the same thing. It is a good feeling. |
What are some of the benefits and changes you've seen in yourself?
|
What is your favorite posture in the series and why? |
| Weight loss, increased energy levels and focus. A general feeling of good health. |
It changes, currently it is savasana (rest mode) I once did one for the entire class. Actually I don't have a favorite they all need work I can't say I mastered any of them. |
What is your greatest challenge about the yoga? Yourself? |
|
|
Don't give up. The first month for me was hell. However it was also a time when I was making the most progress. It was fun to get it into to postures that previously seemed impossible and totally unattainable. |
